Preheat the oven to 350 F and line a 9 inch cake tin.
In a medium size bowl, beat together all the ingredients until light and fluffy. Pour the batter into the tin and bake for 40 minutes or till a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt together butter & milk. Add sugar and cocoa and let it melt into the milk mixture. Pour over the cake immediately. It will set as it cools.
