Ingredients

  • Pork with medium fat cut in 1 inch pieces – 1.5kg
  • Onion (cubed)- 1 large
  • Tomato (cubed) – 1 large
  • Coriander powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Chilly powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

For seasoning

  • Coconut oil – 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seed – 1 1/2 tsp
  • Finely sliced garlic – 10 cloves
  • Finely sliced ginger – 2 inch
  • Finely sliced pearl onions – 10 pearl
  • Dried red chilli – 5 nos
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

Preparation

Step 1

Pressure cook meat along with all the ingredients from onion till salt for 4-5 whistles on medium heat. Do not add any water. There will be about 1 cup of gravy after cooking. If you have a lot more, reduce it to 1 cup of gravy.

Step 2

In a large saute pan, heat oil and pop mustard seeds. Add ginger, garlic,pearl onions and cook till they soften and onions starts to brown a bit.

Step 3

Add the dried red chilies,curry leaves and saute for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Add in the spice powders and mix well for 15 seconds. Add the cooked meat along with the gravy and cook till it’s dried up and coats the meat.

Step 5

Add black pepper  and enjoy!
