Wash the green peas and soak in water for 8 hours. Pressure cook the soaked peas with salt and turmeric powder to 5 whistles and keep aside.
In a blender add coconut, red chilli powder and coarsely powder, keep aside.
Heat a pan with oil. Do the seasoning with mustard, Urad dal, asafoetida, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves. Add the boiled peas and stir well. Wait till the stuff becomes dry. Add the coconut mix and switch off.
