Step1
Cook the green gram and Keep it aside. Grind the coconut, turmeric, shallots, garlic, chilli and salt to a paste.
Step2
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and stir. Add the curry leaves and the paste and stir until the raw smell goes away.
Step3
Add the green gram and the grated papaya to it and cover it with a lid and slow cook it on low fire. Remove the lid and stir. Serve it hot.
