Step1
Pressure cook toor dal with water adding a pinch of turmeric powder to soft and keep aside.

Peel off the radish and cut in to thin rounds. Peel the skin of shallots too. Slit the green chilli and soak tamarind in water and extract 3 cups of juice.

Heat 2 spoons of oil in a pan and sauté sliced radish, shallots, green chilli and curry leaves for two minutes. Pour in the extracted tamarind juice. Add required salt and turmeric powder. Let them boil till the veggies become soft.

Add 4 tea spoons of Kitchen Treasure Sambar powder to the boiling stuff and mix well. Wait for two minutes. Now add some water to boiled toor dal and mix well. Pour the dal to the pan and stir. Adjust the quantity water to required consistency. Once the sambar is boiled well switch off the stove. Add chopped coriander leaves
Step5
Do the seasoning in the remaining two tea spoons of oil with mustard and fenugreek seeds and a red chilli. Once they splutter pour on to the sambar. The aromatic and flavorful sambar is ready to serve now
