Ingredients

  • Chicken Cut open  into small pieces – 1 kg
  • Red Chilli Powder -1 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric  Powder – 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Dark Soy sauce (Regular is also fine) – 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut oil – 1 tsp
  • Sprig Curry leaves – 1
  • Large onion, thinly sliced – 1
  • Tomato, thinly sliced – 1
  • Black pepper powder, optional

Preparation

Step1

Take a pressure cooker & add the cut up chicken, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce & salt. Mix it well & let it marinate for 10 mins.

Step2

Pressure cook it on medium high heat for exactly one whistle.

Step3

Once the pressure has gone down, open the lid. If there is water in it, let it evaporate on high heat for 3-4 mins.

Step4

Add the oil, onion, tomatoes, curry leaves & pepper powder, fry till it is dry & pieces are well coated with the sauce.

Step5

This goes well with Rice , Roti, or Bread. Enjoy the dish to the fullest.
