Ingredients

  • 1 kg – Chicken
  • 1 – Onion
  • 1/2 cup- Coconut
  • 1 spring- Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp – Kitchen Treasures Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp – Kitchen Treasures Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tsp – Kitchen Treasures Turmeric powder
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 Cup – Water
  • 2 – Shallots
  • 2- Kitchen Treasures Whole Chilli
  • 2 tsp – Kitchen Treasures Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp – Kitchen Treasures Fennel Seeds
  • 1 tsp – Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 piece – Cardamom
  • 2 tbsp – Oil

Preparation

Step1

Fry the Coconut in a pan with oil and when it turns to brown, remove it from the flame and keep it aside to cool down. When it cools, make it a paste. (Tenga Varutharachathu)

 

Step2

In a frying pan, add oil, fennel seeds, whole chilli, onion, cardamom, cinnamon powder,turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, shallots, coriander Powder, and pepper and stir well.

 

Step3

Add chicken and a little water to it. Cook it for a while (till the chicken is cooked). Add the fried coconut paste to it and Add salt for taste. Stir well and let it cook for a few minutes (till they become a thick gravy). Add curry leaves for taste. Serve it hot.
