Roughly mash the potatoes.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and chillies. Sauté well.
Add onion and sauté well. Add turmeric powder.
Add the potatoes and mix well. Add water till the potatoes are covered halfway. Sprinkle salt and check the seasoning.
When the water evaporates, take off the stove and garnish with curry leaves. Serve with fluffy pooris.
