Step1
Boil water and add salt and the rice powder and make a smooth dough.

Coarsely grind shallot, garlic, ginger, green chilli, fennel seed and curry leaves and coconut cuts.

Mix it with the rice dough. Let it cool.
Step4
Wash Kalumakaya in water to remove all dirt’s. Open the kalumakaya with a sharp knife and clean inside with water. (Only half open).
Step5
Make a ball with the dough and stuff into the kalumakaya. Steam cook the stuffed kalumakaya for 15 to 20 minutes and keep aside to cool.
Step6
Scoop out the kalumakaya out of their shells.
Step7
Make a spicy mixture with Kitchen Treasures turmeric and chilli powder and salt. Heat oil in a pan and dip each stuffed kalumakaya in the spicy mixture and deep fry.
